Rosco is Star's son. He is a senior in high school and a juvenile delinquent. He has a job waiting for him in a nearby garage when he graduates from high school. Rosco befriends one of the gypsy girls in the village, Jena. Rosco's best friend, however, throws a firecracker at Jena's horse one night causing the horse to flee and sustain injuries. Rosco starts to learn how to do the right thing. He protects Jena from harm by Sean. He runs to get Claudia's help in saving Jena's horse. In the end, he also lands a girlfriend for whom he truly cares, Susie.
