Lila Barron is Claudia's daughter. She works at an investment bank in New York City. Lila is very tall and sturdy. She doesn't shave her legs and she isn't concerned with fashion. At first, Lila is angry with Claudia for turning her back on her father. Eventually, Lila and Claudia work through this. While traveling in London, Lila meets Ivo Brewer. They fall in love and get engaged by the end of the novel.
