Christopher Pomeroy is Valerie's son. He lives abroad, but visits his mother with his children often. He is a widower. When he meets Claudia, he thinks she's great and he asks her to marry him and be a mother to his girls. Eventually, Christopher arranges for Valerie's home to be divided into three units, so Valerie can live in one unit, he can use one unit as a country home for him and the girls and someone to take care of his mother can live in the third unit.
