Griffin meets Reverend A. L. Davis at the YMCA cafe in New Orleans. The two men, along with Mr. Gayle, sit down and discuss what they saw as the biggest problems that black people face. In the end, the three decided that the only way for blacks' situation to change is for blacks to be more united.
