How are the people of the Enclave separated by class?

Inside the Enclave, the different classes are separated by the way in which they dress. The wealthy and the Protectorate's family wear all white while servants dress in red. Gaia takes advantage of this dress code twice, once when she wears red to enter the Enclave and later when she wears white during her attempt to escape.
