Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, chronicles the return of several soldiers from a particularly bloody battle in Iraq. Each of the boys are immediately considered heroes and are thrust into the limelight. Without regard to their fragile psyches and what they've been through, the media propels them into a spotlight that none of them really want. Their PTSD rears its head several times throughout the novel. One particular place is when they are at a ballgame and the firewords are going off. They have difficultly holding it together as they were all trained to react to such firepower and sound.
