Nina is the Herk's maid. She hates Arthur, but really likes Anna, and stays in order to save up enough money to become a legal U.S. citizen and bring her family into the country. She falls in love with Puggy when he saves her from Henry and Leonard, then travels to the airport to rescue him along with the others after Snake takes them all hostage. At the end of the novel, she lives with Puggy at the Herk residence, and the two are very happy together.
