What is Chapter 2 about in "Beyond the Bright Sea"?

Chapter Two mainly talks about Crow's home on the island, the cottage were she lives with Osh, and the way in which Osh supports them. It also details Crow's need to know her roots..... where she came from, and why she was cast off by her parents.
