Who is Shah Jahan from Beneath a Marble Sky: A Novel of the Taj Mahal and what is their importance?

Shah Jahan, born Khurram, son of Jahangir, is the great Mughal Emperor. After a series of political marriages, he marries the love of his life, a young, beautiful, and clever shop girl named Arjumand.
