Who is Ramiz Raif “Ramy” Mirza?

Ramiz Raif “Ramy” Mirza is a Babel scholar born in West Bengal. Raised in the home of a rich, white businessman, Ramy learns English from a young age and is multilingual long before he moves to England. However, he also realized early in his life how to tell white people what they want to hear in order to get through life without suspicion. Then, when Ramy is taken from his parents and eventually enrolled in Babel, he develops an extreme disconnect from his heritage and feels like he is lying to himself. This is what convinces him to join Babel when asked by Anthony and why he is so upset with Robin betrays them to save himself. However, the two reconnect once Robin realizes the truth. Ramy is killed accidentally by Letty during the raid on the Old Library.
