On pages 233-240, why does Elisabeth call the marketing department of a supermarket?

Elisabeth calls the marketing department of a supermarket because she has just heard one of Daniel's songs on a commercial for the supermarket. She informs the marketing department that they need to compensate Daniel for using the song.
