Dagny has little respect for her brother whom she sees as weak and undeserving. It is Dagny who has made all the decisions that have so far kept Taggart Transcontinental running. Dagny is doing what people of her day consider a man's job and she is doing it better than most men could. James Taggart, on the other hand, is more interested in appearances.
