Danagger's coal shipment meant for Taggart Transcontinental is diverted to the People's Republic of England. That leaves him unable to ship coal to the railroad which cannot ship Rearden steel on time. The country is plunged into a fuel shortage. Businesses continue to close and Taggart Transcontinental is losing money.
