How did Fitz get wounded in the mountains, what kind of wound was it and who does he find to help him and where?

Fitz and Nighteyes are in a terrible fight with men and hounds and even a Witted-team, but they manage to get away. Fitz now has an arrow in his back and is severely wounded. Fitz is in terrible pain and collapses outside a cottage in Jhaampe. The owner of the cottage turns out to be the Fool, who had escaped with Queen Kettricken from Buckkeep, and believes his destiny to be tied directly to that of Fitz.
