What is the Fowl family history?

The Fowls are legendary criminals. Artemis the First, Artemis's father, had thrown the family fortunes into jeopardy. He had invested large sums of money in creating shipping lines in Russia. But the Russian Mafia did not like this and they launched a stolen missile at the Fowl Star. Artemis Senior was on board the ship as was Butler's uncle. The Fowls are not destitute, but they are not billionaires anymore. Artemis vows to restore the family fortune.
