What is Artemis plotting in regards to Root in Chapter 5?

Artemis asks Butler if the Japanese whaler is still in the dock. Having taken Holly's helmet, Artemis removes the viewcam from it. He also has her locator. Artemis and Butler head to the docks where Butler distracts the dockworkers as Artemis goes on board the ship. Once there, he places the viewcam and the locator in strategic spots that will attract Holly's rescuers. The locator draws Root to the boat. Once there, Artemis communicates with him through a computer. Then Artemis blows up the ship.
