Who is Osam in Anowa by Ama Ata Aidoo

Anowa's father, Osam, finds her a bit exasperating. Osam is happy about Anowa's marriage to Kofi Ako, but also formly believes that she would have been off apprenticed to a priestess and allowed not to marry.
