What does Anne mean when she says, "We have problems that no other people our age have ever had"? Does Anne fully understand the problems she has? Explain. (Glencoe Edition)
Anne realizes that as children of war and being part of an oppressed ethnicity that they are living childhoods that other don't have to live. She feels the enormous unfairness of it all, but also realizes that it has given her a more mature view of the world and has given her clarity into the human experience.
