In Act 4, Scene 8, Louis attacks Joe for the decisions he has written under Judge Wilson. This leads to a significant build in emotion, and when Louis asks Joe if Roy ever paid him for sex, Joe snaps. He punches Louis who tells him Roy has AIDS. Joe continues punching him until he regains his composure.
