What are Joe and Harper's secrets in Act 1, Scene 8?

In Act 1, Scene 8, Harper asks Joe directly if he is gay. Joe eventually says that he is not, but before this he clearly is struggling with what to say. In retaliation for this secret, Harper tells him that she is pregnant, then denies it, then confirms it. As such, Joe's secret is his sexuality; Harper's is her pregnancy.
