How does Harper come to realize she is not in the Antarctic in Act 1, Scene 2?

As Harper talks to Mr. Lies about her surroundings, she begins to realize she is still in Brooklyn. The wind is replaced by sounds of the park, and then she sees police lights. She has been in Prospect Park the entire time and is about to be arrested for stealing a tree from the Botanical Garden.
