Harper Pitt in Act 5, Scene 9, has determined that her marriage to Joe needs to end. She will not hear his pleas that she stay, slaps him and demands his credit card for her expenses. She says they will not ever speak again. In the end, however, she takes pity on him, giving him two Valium to "travel."
