I need a hook for my essay about good literature and I need ideas, help?

Your "hook" should be based on the ideas that you're going to present in your report. I haven't read the novel in question, thus, I would be one of the people you're trying to convince. I see the novel is about WWII..... is it a narrative? Is it realistic, based upon real life? Who is the narrator? I also see that the novel is written from the perspective of a young man, that his parents are acually spies..... is it suspenseful? These are the things you want to unclude in your "hook".
