In Chapter 18, the author uses flashback to illustrate Javier's reaction to Sebastian's expose. Was Lydia correct in the way she expected him to respond?

Lydia was correct that Javier would be flattered. She did not consider, however, that he wouldn't appreciate the exposure, or that is would have such a negative impact on his family.
