Mrs. Beck is a wealthy widow who trades on the fact that she's a widow and tries to get James to charge her only half-price for spaying her cat, Georgina. Then she bargains with him to pick up her cat and take it to the surgery and then bring it home. Mrs. Beck is cheap.
