At that time, twenty-seven people still survived. They unanimously decided that the bodies should be eaten as necessary to survive. Not all of the survivors could bring themselves to partake, but none were so opposed to the idea that they would object to the others eating. Furthermore, most agreed that if they were next to die they would donate their body to the cause.
