Akakta Witch
Della, the wasp artist that hatches from the Junk Man’s egg towards the end of the novel, represents Sunny’s progress as a Leopard Person. When the wasp is first born, it designs a castle out of crumbs. This aligns with Sunny’s beginning as she only had her home to comfort her. Later, after the defeat of the Black Hat, the wasp builds a replica of him, only to ensure that his head gets blown off by the end. This marks the end of Sunny’s current journey, and the removal of such a big threat from her life.
