The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

How do the Duke and the King specifically take advantage of the townspeople's pride with "The Royal Nonesuch?"

The first group of townspeople who attend the performance realize that they've been ripped off, but because they are too proud to admit that they were 'had' by these con men, they go out and brag to those who didn't attend the play about how great it was (so they, too, will be ripped off).
