Who is Marina Veen from Ada; or, Ardor: A Family Chronicle and what is their importance?

Marina is the wife of Walter's wife. She works as an actress and lives in California, as well as Ardis Hall. She and her husband have one child, Lucette. Her second daughter, Ada, was fathered by her husband's cousin, with whom, she had an affair. Marina and Walter remain married until his death.
