What is the main conflict in Ada; or, Ardor: A Family Chronicle by Vladimir Nabokov?

The main conflict in the novel can be found in the love of Van and Ada. Initially torn apart by jealousy, their love is later marred by the revelation that they are, in fact, siblings (they share the same father).
