Who is Mrs. Springer from the story, A Wagner Matinee?

Mrs. Springer is Clark’s landlord in Boston. She makes only a brief appearance in the story, helping to put Georgiana to bed after Georgiana arrives in Boston form Nebraska. Mrs. Springer shows no shock at seeing Georgiana’s hunched and weathered body, although Clark expects that Mrs. Springer may have felt shocked internally.
