When the group gets home from a nightlong walk on the Milky Way, there is a lovely, warm fire to curl up by and rest. The travelers are cold in the night and the fire warms them up. The "fire" is referred to as a "handsome creature," that has "hissing tongues" and "bright behavior." Poem 11 is all about the fire, ending with a call for praising it/him.
