Titania is described as powerful, steadfast, and overwhelmed with love for the child. As the story unfolds, she becomes more and more attached to the boy, and eventually becomes his mother. As Titania becomes acquainted with the realm of humans in the hospital, she is both intrigued and saddened by witnessing the love of parents for their children.
