As the eldest and most rebellious of the Asher children, Zane is deeply affected when the principal at his school calls him worthless and recommends that he switch schools. Desperate to prove to his parents that he isn't worthless, Zane starts to steal because he wants to raise money for them to pay for the damages to the apartment.
