A Tale of Two Cities

In a Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens, how is the power of the mob vs the power of the individual portrayed? How is human behavior affected b the emotions and actions of a larger group?

Does the novel suggest that individuals have power against large groups? Which characters best show the power of the individual making a change? How is this done?

A few examples of the power of the mob vs the individual with quotes would be appreciated.

Thanks
