How do Nao's living conditions change when the family moves to Tokyo in the novel, A Tale for the Time Being?

Nao's family currently lives on the west side of Tokyo, which is the poor side of the city. When they lived in Sunnyvale, California, they had a large home and lots of money. In Tokyo, they have a two room apartment, and Nao must share a bedroom with her parents.
