Who is Olive?

Olive is an elderly lesbian woman who is at the Center to have her medical report from an oncologist interpreted by people she trusts. Right before George came in, Olive had learned she had incurable cancer and only about six months to live. Olive is an extremely intelligent woman who teaches classes at the university about the workings of the brain. She uses her knowledge to try to influence George. Olive saves Wren's life after Wren stabs George in the hand with a scalpel. She throws herself in front of George’s gun and is shot. She dies as a result.
