What is Lil’s Braids

Lil’s braids symbolize her childhood and needing her father. When Lil was little, George had learned to braid her hair to keep it neat. Every night he braided her hair before she went to bed. Then, one day, she decided she could braid her own hair and did not need George to do it anymore. George remembers this event when he thinks about Lil not being his little girl anymore because she has had an abortion.
