What is Blue Blanket?

The blue blanket that the Uber driver finds in his car represents Joy’s baby. Before having an abortion, Joy had dreamed of holding a baby wrapped in a blue blanket. Then, after getting out of an Uber she took to get to the Center, the driver pulls up beside her to hand her a blue baby blanket that he believes she left in the car. Joy is certain it was not there when she was in the car. The blanket left in the car stands for leaving her baby behind, which is what she believes she will be doing by having an abortion.
