What did George's pastor have to say about him?

Hugh talked to Mike Kearns, the pastor of George's church. Kearns told Hugh that George used to be their church handyman. Then there was some storm damage and the budget was tight, so volunteers were now doing the work George used to do. When Hugh told Kearns what George was doing, Kearns said that was not the man he knew. He said that he met George about 15 years ago when he came to the church carrying his baby, who was sick.
