The boys put Gene on trial for Finny's 'accident'. They set up a witness chair and make Finny sit in it, but he doesn't remember anything about that day. Others are sketchy in their recall, but when they bring Leper in to say what he saw, Finny believes him, and in anger leaves the room (only to fall down the stairs).
