Who is Cecily Talbot?

Cecily is Kitty's 18-year-old sister. She is considered the “intellectual” of the family because of a couple of years she spent at a formal school. Cecily is the sister Kitty chooses to accompany her to London because of Aunt Dorothy's instruction that Kitty bring her “prettiest sister.” While Cecily is highly intelligent with regard to formal education, she lacks the social savvy that makes Kitty fit into this society so well.
