Who is Alcibiades from the book, A History of My Times?

Alcibiades is a military leader from Athens. He heads fleets. His activity is quite significant in the region. As a cultural cross-over, he is also known to has intimately associated with the Athenian philosopher, Socrates. Alcibiades was a local oligarch of Athens. He was known to not always agree with Socrates but to be very attracted to the older man, to the point of possibly sexualizing their relationship.
