What is Gikonyo's life like in the concentration camp?

Gikonyo is lonely in the concentration camp. Even with the other prisoners to keep him company, he misses Mumbi. Slowly, Gikonyo begins to lose his mind and decides to confess to taking an oath against the government in hopes it will help him get released.
