Who is Eibhlín Dubh in the book, A Ghost in the Throat?

Eibhlín Dubh was a member of the last Gaelic gentry during the eighteen-century and the author of the poem Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire. Her poem Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire recounts her husband’s murder, her sorrow, and her hatred for Morris. It was preserved through oral tradition and passed down through spoken word for centuries before it was transcribed.
