In a Feast for Crows, the Sparrows are a group of religious zealots that have cropped up around the various temples in Kings Landing. They are militant and vocal. Ostensibly, their purpose is to show sinners how a true believer should live. They make sure to shout their rhetoric as loudly as they can to any who pass by...especially traveling nobles.
