How does A Farewell to Arms end?

In the conclusion, Catherine and Henry marry and move to Lausanne to be near the hospital since Catherine is about to have their child. When her time comes they go to the hospital but the baby is stillborn. Later that night Catherine dies from complications arising from the childbirth. Henry stays by her side until she passes away, then he walks back to the hotel, alone, in the rain.
