When Helion examines Eris's soldiers, what is decided is wrong with them?

Helion comes to examine Eris's soldiers that were brought back from the Bog. Helion says that they do not seem like they are enchanted. He comments that there is a fog around their minds that sways them. They realize that Queen Briallyn was have the Crown and is using it to force the soldiers to fight for her.
