What is the Blood Rite?

When an Illyrian warrior comes into his full power, usually in his 20s, he has to go through the Blood Rite before he qualifies as a full warrior and adult. Would-be warriors are scattered across an area in the Illyrian Mountains. They are left there for a week with two goals: Survival and making it to Ramiel, their sacred mountain. If someone makes it to the top and touches a sacred stone, they win and are transported out. Whoever is left standing is considered a warrior. The ones who do not make it to the mountain but survive are Arktosian. The ones who make it to the mountain but not to the top are Oristian. Those who scale the summit are elite warriors and are called Carynthian.
