Podrick from A Clash of Kings is a servant to Tyrion Lannister. He is very shy is often quite clumsy around Tyrion. Tyrion is kind to him though, and helps him negotiate through all of the customs and etiquette demanded of the position. He is from a noble family and is at the castle partially out of fealty and partially out of a desire to become, eventually, a knight. He saves Tyrion from assassination and agrees to keep the attempt secret.
